For 6 years I worked 80-100 hours a week as a sales and marketing executive for a direct sales company based out of New York. Three years ago my father died and I starting questioning my own mortality and how I was spending my time. I re-prioritized my life and vowed never to work over 40 hours a week. My life has changed dramatically!

This year I spend over 50 days in nature snowboarding, rock climbing, or hiking; I traveled across India for 41 days;  I started my own business; started taking classes at the local University and am engaged to be married to an amazing woman in November.

What I did was quit my current career position and for two years worked at jobs with very little responsibility but were consistent with my values (I really considered this time a vacation). I worked at a woman and family shelter for the homeless, a University as an Enrollment Counselor, and  as a booking agent for a music venue. I also invested all of my free time into the things I care about. My friends, family, hobbies, spirituality, health, travel, etc...
