Specifically, tell us the way you were, the turning point - what made you say "Enough!", and where you are today - what's different / better?

I got sick and tired of being sick and tired. I had no life outside of my work. Today I treasure my weekends, NO WORK unless absolutely necessary. I also make sure I only work late a couple nights a week. I am SO much happier.

In explaining WHY you changed - was it to bring more balance into your life?

Absolutely!

Spend more time with your family?

My boyfriend who then became my husband (not so sure he would have become my husband if I had been continuing the way I was going!)

 Pursue other interests?

I love to hike in nature, I NEVER used to do what I loved before I "recovered" - so sad. Now I make sure I spend time in nature at least once a week.

And AFTER you changed - tell us about that. Did it energize you?

YES! I found that the more time I took out to take care of myself/ my soul the more productive I was at work.

Awaken a new sense of creativity? Enable you to work more effectively with others? Relate to normal humans better?

Yes, to the creativity - I came up with many more ideas when I took more time off - really learned the expression "whatever I put before taking care of myself I am going to lose." I have always been a real people person but I definitely became more compassionate and a better listener.

Finally, what did you do? Give the details. Did you quit corporate America, or just cut back your hours? Did you move to Istanbul and set a tour guide service or take up a long-delayed hobby? Or did you just start taking a little time every day for yourself?

Because I took more time off, I was better able to listen to to what my purpose on this earth was. I started to let go of my career as a working actress and start embracing the work I do today - Life and Career Coaching. I cannot even begin to tell you how much happier I am
